Does anyone else get nervous writing about themselves for this part of the website?

Photography found me at a very early age; think the elementary school playground, posing my friends on the monkey bars.  At seventeen I spent the Summer post-high school assisting a wedding photographer, and knew this was what I wanted to do. For the duration of my college days/corporate career, I was always working in photography during evenings and weekends. Fast-forward to 2007 when I took the leap into full-time, and haven't looked back!  Since then I married, had two incredible daughters, and have been able to document some families for close to 20 years.

 

The best part of my job is revealing every person's beauty through the camera. I hear people all the time talk about how they dislike the camera, don't photograph well, etc, etc, etc.  Yet a quick glace at the back of my camera and I see it in their expression...the look of awe that it's THEM.  Or their loved one.  Or a special moment shared between a family.  There's nothing else like it, and I want to share it with YOU!
